In 2005, after some soul searching she left the teaching profession to return to painting. Karen has been painting full time since, working in oils and watercolor. Striving for versatility, she paints a wide variety of subject matter: still life, landscapes, urban scenes and figures. She paints from life in the studio, in plein air and from her sketches and photographs. Karen has studied under contemporary masters: Milford Zornes, Ratindra Das, Chris Van Winkle, Carol Marine, Greg La Rock, Jennifer Mc Christian, Qiang Huang, Kim English and Joseph Todorovitch. |
