Irving Block 1910-1986

 
   

Born in New York City, Irving Block was a painter and muralist who settled in Studio City, California. He earned a B.S. Degree from New York University and also studied at the National Academy of Design and in Paris at Grande Chaumiere.

He exhibited with the California Watercolor Society and was a professor of art in Northridge at California State University. He completed a mural for the American Medical Building for the 1937 World's Fair and also for the United States Treasury Department.
